Changes to HIV/AIDS program will cause problems fo many living with HIV/AIDS

This change will knock many people off  of the program. Christie’s proposal would require a co-payments of more than $25.00 per prescription. Many recipients of the program are on as many as six prescriptions per month, and that could cause a real hardship say HIV/AIDS activists. They say it may have a devastating impact on their health.

The Hyacinth AIDS foundation, an organization for persons with HIV/AIDS is the first and largest AIDS service organization in NJ. Their services include client advocacy, counseling, prevention, care and treatment, as well as legal service and public policy advocacy and they are urging action.
