A new nationwide campaign is calling for as many as 22,000 beds for homeless youth estimated to be on the streets. Garden State Equality in Montclair says it is proud to join in the efforts of the National Coalition for the Homeless and the Ali Forney Center as they launch a grassroots campaign to demand a national response to youth homelessness.
Garden State Equality will hold its annual "Equality Walk" on Saturday, June 21 in Montclair. The theme will be 'Taking Steps to Protect our Future,' which organizers say reflects an emphasis on strengthening our recent wins in anti-bullying and marriage equality, while continuing to push for protections for LGBT youths, seniors and the transgender community.

The Philadelphia Soul arena football team will host the nation's first pro- football LGBT- awareness game, "Out with the Soul, Champions for Equality," an event to help raise awareness and show support for the LGBT community.
