American Bar & Grille’s new menu focuses on seasonal ingredients and flavors

In June 2021, Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa launched a new restaurant, American Bar & Grille. Created, owned, and operated by MGM Resorts International and Borgata, this new restaurant takes over the location of Wolfgang Puck American Grille, which never reopened following its shutdown during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

American Bar & Grille’s new menu focuses on seasonal ingredients and flavors. The main dining room opens onto the casino floor. The casino-facing front of the restaurant is designed to appear more casual and features a seventeen-seat bar, while the inner portion of the restaurant is designed with a more sophisticated edge. The bar features a wide variety of specialty cocktails, wines by the glass, plus domestic, import, and draft beers, including Cape May Coastal Evaluation and Yards Philly Ale. The chef’s table seats up to twelve guests directly in front of the main kitchen line.

As part of the restaurant’s “Autumn on the East Coast” theme, the ceilings and the back seating area are spotlighted by red, gold, and amber colors to resemble fall leaves. The restaurant features an open-flame, wood-burning pizza oven. New Jersey’s locally sourced ingredients include tomatoes, corn, and fresh seafood.

Looking for the perfect cocktail? The Pumpkin Martini is flawless. If you are seeking something refreshing, albeit not as strong, the Apple Cider Sangria is a close second choice.

The appetizers and wood-fired pizza are the real standouts at this restaurant. The Tomato Bruschetta, which is served with wood-fired bread, marinated tomatoes, and basil aioli, is one of the best bruschetta dishes you will ever try. The Pumpkin Soup, which is uniquely crafted with marshmallow cream, is rich in flavor and offers an unparalleled distinctive taste. The Wild Mushroom Pizza is one of the best items on the menu. Intertwining basil pesto, roasted garlic, three kinds of cheese, and mushrooms, this pizza is extraordinary in taste and texture.

Executive Chef Aram Mardigian is committed to food integrity. Mardigian follows a culinary philosophy with a focus on fresh and seasonal ingredients, modern and classic cooking techniques, and unique combinations. Additional menu highlights include Berkshire Farms Pork Ribs, Chef’s Pizza, Apple Cider Glazed Atlantic Salmon, and Domestic Lamb “Three Ways.”

American Bar & Grille is situated off the north end of the casino floor. The restaurant is open:
