BOOK REVIEW: From The Closet to the Courts

Simpson’s book, From The Closet to the Court, was painstakingly researched and carefully written to produce a masterpiece that no queer person should be without. In her research, she used real-life experiences and went undercover to find out first-hand how America felt about lesbians. In doing so, she corresponded with isolated, often desperate closeted lesbians and even went so far as to go undercover as a married woman in crisis at a Catholic counseling service.
