The “Gay Beach” in Atlantic City will be official this week. In an effort to embrace the LGBT community Mayor Don Guardian will announce details about a new LGBT-friendly beach in AC in the traditional spot that it has always been – Park Place and the Boardwalk.
At a news conference later today several other LGBT events to be held this summer will be promoted by the business community and the Atlantic City GLBT Alliance as well as the Mayor. According to local sources and GPhilly magazine the details are sparse, since the newly elected gay mayor, Don Guardian, has not yet made the announcement.
Besides mention of the official “gay beach,” Guardian will also share details on three other events later this summer and fall: Sandblast Weekend (July 18-20), the 2014 Miss’d America Pageant (September 28th) and the Stand Out LGBT Expo (September 26-28.)
