With no shortage of hate crimes, Nathan Manske decided after watching the film Milk, to do something about the bullying epidemic that has finally come to light. Nathan became the founder of I’m From Driftwood, a website dedicated to telling the true life stories of LGBT people from small towns to big cities, in the hopes that gay youth will not feel so alone.
“Hearing one story from the perspective of a bullied kid, and then the same story from the perspective of his mother is tear jerking, but also extremely empowering,” Nathan Manske said. Here is one of those stories:
