Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola has gone from girl gone wild in the Seaside Heights “Jersey Shore” house to businesswoman with an eye on success. Here, she talks to Entertainment Editor Cookie about her first summer out of the “Jersey Shore” house, who in the cast she still sees, and what it was like to give back to the Jersey Shore post Hurricane Sandy.

Sammi, thanks for taking the time to chat with me. This is your first summer not being spent in the “Jersey Shore” house. How does it feel?

It’s kind of awkward and really different. I’m still a Shore town girl though, I’m originally from Hazlet. The Jersey Shore is never too far from me.

Many people criticized you and the rest of the Jersey Shore cast, saying that you should be doing something for the town of Seaside Heights after Hurricane Sandy, as the town put you guys “on the map.” How do you respond to that?

I think to me, growing up at the Jersey Shore, it was very important to me to give back and do what I could to help. It was definitely a personal choice to do so and I did not think twice about it.

We got to see your relationship with fellow cast mate Ronnie play out on Jersey Shore throughout each season, both your fights and your make-ups. How are things with Ronnie now that the show is over?

Things with Ronnie are great! Right now we are living together and really enjoying it. We may do another show together in the future, who knows?

Post Jersey Shore you have really turned yourself into a brand in and of itself. Tell me about some of your projects.

Well, I have so much going on. Right now, I have my fitness clothes, “Sammi’s Fitness Collection”, as well as my fragrance line, “Dangerous” both for men and for women, which I love. I also have my line of clutchlets, which are amazing. Those are especially special to me, since I personally designed them and was really hands on with the creation of each of them.

Was it hard to get people to see you more than just one of the Jersey Shore people and actually see you as a respected businesswoman?

Absolutely. It was difficult to get it started, I really had to make my own path. I fell into nothing at all, I selected my own products and really worked hard on them.

So many reality stars end up cast on shows like “Celebrity Apprentice” and “Dancing With The Stars” during and after the run of their shows. Would you ever be up for being cast on one of those shows?

Absolutely. I would love to be on “Dancing With The Stars”, I certainly would not be opposed to doing another reality show, I think reality television is great.

Even though Jersey Shore has only been gone a short time, people are already talking about a possible reunion for you and the rest of the cast. Do you still speak with the rest of the cast?

Absolutely! We all speak all the time. I’m seeing Jenny (Farley) this weekend and we all went to go see Pauly (D) in Atlantic City last weekend. Even without being in the house, it’s still like a big family.
